Village Ministry/ Field Trip

Praise God! All blessings come from Him. Our very lives are gifts from God. There is so much to be thankful for and praise Him for from the air we breathe to the people we meet to Jesus who came to save us. The last few weeks have been wonderful. One of the Bethlehem Christian Academy schools went on a field trip, and I had the privilege of joining them. I also got to spend a week in one of my most beloved villages doing ministry with the people there. Thank you for those that have been faithfully praying for me and the work that is going on here.

The BCA field trip is a special event once a year where the students get to go and play and learn all about different animals. The school went to an animal reserve that mostly has exotic birds. The students had a wonderful time learning and exploring. It was a lot of fun and fellowship with the students and teachers. The students loved seeing the animals, playing on the playground and having a picnic under the trees. They had fun singing around the fountain, observing the ostrich, monkey, and macaws. We were all a little frightened of the snake and hyena or maybe that was just me. I was happy to see turkeys, and it reminded me that it is turkey season in Missouri now. Seeing the beauty of God’s creation always brings me joy and wonder at how He made all these amazing creatures.

Colossians 1:16

“For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions rules or authorities – all things were created through him and for him.”

Last week I got to spend serving in one of my favorite places in the world. The first village I ever got to come to in Africa. I got to travel around the village and spend the day with families that have become so dear to me. During my visits we would spend the day cooking, making tea and just spending time together. After tea is normally the time of day that I have found is the best opening to share. I had the opportunity to share my testimony and the Gospel, many Bibles stories including Mary and Martha, Jesus washing the disciples’ feet, Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead, Jesus calling Simon and Andrew. None of this would be possible to share without great translators. I am very grateful for the people I get to work with to spread the gospel. It was exciting to see the people I was sharing with really listen and engage with the story and conversation. God is moving and working throughout the people here.

Please be in prayer for the people in the village that God would give them dreams and visons of Jesus. Pray that the believers here would be strengthened and grow in their faith and continue to be bold in sharing their faith. Pray for the BCA students to grow in their knowledge of Jesus and that they would come to a saving relationship with Him. Also, please pray for a women’s conference I will be co-leading the first week in May. Thank you all for your prayers.
