Women’s Conference / Fishing / Return

God is so good! Back at the start of May, a small team came to West Africa to serve and with them they brought a great abundance of supplies for the people here. First aid kits, medicine, flashlights, games, coloring books and so much more. Thank you to all that sent items! It is truly an amazing blessing for the people.

The first part of the trip was spent doing village ministry, one of my favorite areas to serve. We got to visit old friends, share many Bible stories, and testimonies. This team is not new to loving and serving in Africa.
It was wonderful to see their passion and commitment to having gospel conversations. Great conversations took place with the chief of the village. New friends were made and many planted seeds were watered again with the gospel and the word of God. Continue to be in prayer for the people in this village as many are earnestly seeking and curiously asking questions and listening to who the Bible says Jesus is. Pray that the Lord would open their hearts and minds, and they would come to saving faith in a relationship with Jesus.

Matthew 4:19 “And he said to them, ‘Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

One day while serving we ended up stopping at the sea where some fishermen were fixing their nets. Seeing this reminded me of this verse from Matthew. God called men away from what they knew, the work they had done their whole lives to do something completely different. All they had to do was follow Him, he would make them into what he wanted them to be. I find comfort in this because I often feel unqualified for the things I do. I know what God has called me to, and he simply asks me to be obedient in following him, and he will work out the details and prepare us how he sees fit. We are simply to follow Jesus and fish for people.

After village ministry, we traveled to one of the Bethlehem Christian Academy schools and to got to visit the kids at the school. It was a wonderful blessing and an opportunity to bring some gifts and show some love to the students. The couple that came to serve was always looking for a way to love and spend time with the people, no matter how hot or tired we all were from our travels and the work God had laid before us.

Later in the week I had the pleasure of leading a Women’s Conference. Although this time, I was not the sole leader, I had the blessing of getting to co-lead. Our first day of lessons went well. We taught on the topic of our words. What we say, and how our words can bring life or death. We focused on a lot of verses from Proverbs which talks about the power of words and how we should speak to ourselves and to others.
The second day we taught the book of Esther. We went through the entire book. Giving the historical background and focusing on God working in and through her life. Even though the name of God isn’t even in the entire book, we can see God’s handy work throughout the whole book. We were able to touch on many aspects of Esther’s life as a godly woman and how we can aspire to be bold for our faith, to stand up for others and to speak truth, even when it’s costly.
The last conference I did with these women was back in September 2025. One of the things I asked them at the end of the conference was if there was a need for Bibles. They all said yes! I made a list of the languages that they needed Bibles in and those that needed audio Bibles.
Thanks to the generous people that have given money for Bibles, every single woman that came to the conference left with the word of God in their language, either an audio Bible, or printed Bible!

Please be in prayer that they can understand the word of God and continue to study and grow in their relationship with the Lord.

Thank you so much for everyone that continues to pray for me and for the ministry going on and West Africa.
I am currently in the United States and will speak at Canaan Baptist Church and for my sister‘s wedding which I am excited for.
I look forward to my return to West Africa leading a team June 11.

Please be in prayer for that upcoming team and the ministry work they are setting out to do. Please continue to be in prayer for the women that attended the conference and that the Bibles they received will bring great fruit to their lives as they study the word of God. Please continue to pray, earnestly for the lost that they might turn to God and follow Jesus and give their lives to Him.

Thank you for your prayers, support and encouragement.
