God is Good All the Time

Praise God! The past two weeks have been wonderful getting to serve in Malawi. The work God is doing there is amazing to see and be a part of. I just arrived back in West Africa. I am glad to be back but am definitely going to miss Malawi. Please continue reading to discover more about the work happening in Malawi. Learn how you can join in the work being done there.

The Nations Initiative is partnered with multiple churches in Malawi currently all in the refugee camp. I had the pleasure to visit and talk with the learners of some of these churches. It was amazing to hear about how God has been growing these churches. Some have already planted other churches outside of the refugee camp. Please be in prayer for these churches. Pray that they might grow in their knowledge of the Word of God. Also, pray that they might be unified. Pray for provisions that the Lord would provide jobs and work for those in need. Pray for protection against all evil.

If you are called to help with the needs of these churches, a good place to start would be helping to supply them with Bibles. At just the few churches I was able to visit there is a need for 480 Bibles. If you are led to give for Bibles, you can do so here. https://pushpay.com/g/thenationsinitiative Once you follow the link to give for Bibles you will need to choose the drop down ‘Bibles Fund”. Thank you for your generosity. Bibles are essential to the growth of the church and to having a deeper relationship with God. Many of these churches are doing Bible studies but often only the leader will have a Bible. Please pray about getting involved in giving for the Word of God to be given to these people. If you have a Bible of your own, I encourage you to thank God for that gift. Having the Word of God in your language and being able to read is a great blessing.

It has been a blessing working with BCA. I have loved seeing how God is working in the students’ lives. All of the BCA schools have the same mission and goal. However, each school looks a little different because of its location. I loved seeing Canaan Baptist Church’s proximity to the school in Malawi. It’s wonderful that three times a week the students have devotions in the church building. Sundays I got to join the church and saw many of the students attending with their families. A very special thing about this BCA location for me is that one of my BCA sponsor kids attends this school. I had the privilege of meeting him and his mother. When you sponsor a child that goes to a BCA school, you provide a school uniform, a Christian education, and a meal sometimes the only meal the child will have that day. These students are introduced to Jesus and told about the great love God has for them. It is an incredible honor to join in this work. I am grateful to be a small part of what God is doing in the lives of these students. If you feel lead to sponsor a child or want to know more about BCA please follow the link here. Isaiah 1:17 “learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause.”

All the time God is good. Even when there is great need and pain, God is still good. We might not understand what He is doing, but we can trust that He is still in control. He always has a plan. Whatever we are going through, we can have peace. We know that God knows all. He is working it all out for good. Thank you for your continued prayers for the work that is going on in Malawi and West Africa.
