School, wedding, chickens

Praise the Lord for He is faithful! Thank you all for your prayers over all the work that is being done here in West Africa.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing; give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

In West Africa the school year does not start until mid-October. So, just recently all the Bethlehem Christian Academy schools in West Africa began meeting. Please pray for this school year. Pray that when the students hear the Word of God being taught, the Holy Spirit moves in their lives. Pray they come to know the Lord. Pray for the teacher and the funds to be raised for the needs of each of the schools.

One of the most exciting things that has happened this month is Bass’ wedding. Bass is the leader of the ministry here in West Africa and it was an honor to attend his wedding.

Language learning has been a big focus of this past month because I was not traveling. I am enjoying learning the language and having small conversations with people I meet. Thank you for the prayers as I continue to study the language.

My friend Arnold and I went out to share the Gospel again. We were turned away by everyone we approached to talk with. Only one man let us pray for him but did not want to talk further. We are planning to go out again and share. Please be in prayer that the Lord will lead us to the people He wants us to share with.

John 15:18-19 “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”

Please be in prayer for the schools that have just started. Pray for the persecuted believers. Pray for the believers in West Africa who are the only ones in their families to believe in the Gospel. Pray for their families and villages to receive the Gospel as well. Please also pray for me. I will be returning to the US next month to share about the work going on in West Africa. The chickens are delicious! Praise God for chickens! Come buy some chickens. You might have to travel over 4,000 miles for the chicken, but I think it would be worth it.
