Serving Together

This past week has been extra special for me. Some of my family came to serve with me in West Africa. We were able to serve at one of the Bethlehem Christian Academy (BCA) schools one day. Then, we spent most of the time serving in the village. Canaan Baptist Church has been working with this village for over 12 years now. I am so grateful for their visit and all that God allowed us to do.

We started the week at the BCA school. We came and met all the teachers and then had opportunities to share Bible stories with the students. We did coloring with the kids. When it was break time, we played with the new soccer balls that were donated. It was a great day getting to serve and visit the school. God is doing so much work here and it is an honor to be a part of it.

We spent four days in the village doing ministry. We would go to the school nearby and play football (soccer) with kids. We played with jump ropes and did coloring as well. We would take a break from playing the games so that Bible stories could be shared with the kids. Building relationships by playing and spending time with people is very important. It was wonderful to have the opportunity to be a part of that.

The days in the village myself and the other women would join the women of the village in cooking lunch. This was a good time to talk with the women. We got to know them some and just helped them with cooking. God provided opportunities during this time for me to share my testimony and the Gospel. My mother and sister also shared testimonies. They spoke about how God has worked in their lives with the women. While we cooked, the men visited and shared with the chief of the village. During our time in the village, we were all invited to a wedding. We had the opportunity to come and visit with people there. It was a great honor to be invited. God is so good. I am abundantly thankful for the West African team. They made this mission trip possible for my family.

Thank you to those that donated things for the ministry here, it is very appreciated. Thank you to anyone who sent letters, I am looking forward to reading them throughout the months ahead. Thank you all for your prayers. Please continue to be in prayer for the next two months. There are a lot of ministry events happening. The whole team needs prayers for endurance and strength. We want to serve the Lord well, to God be the glory.
