Wow! Two months have flown by! God is doing so much work. I am constantly inspired by the faith and service of the believers here in West Africa. Thank you to everyone for the prayers and support for the work that is happening here.

About a week ago a small group of the West Africa team traveled to a nearby nation. The journey took two days, and the devil did not want us to go. We were stopped at the first checkpoint. We were held for four hours. Finally, we found out we did not have the right paperwork for me to enter the country. We had to stay the night in a nearby town and apply for the paperwork I needed. It normally takes two to three days to hear back for the paperwork I needed. We prayed knowing that it is all in God’s hands. In less than two hours I had the approved paperwork to go! I was shocked by God’s grace and faithfulness to provide what we needed when we needed it. I was humbled by my little faith.

The difficulties of the journey did not end there. We were held for almost five hours with another paperwork issue and the police wanting money. No matter what challenge came, the Lord gave us patience to get through it. We made it to our destination. While we were there, we meet with other Christians that are serving God faithfully in many ways with many ministries. It was exciting to be reminded that God is working everywhere. In places we have been to and know well, He is there. In places we have never heard of and will never go, He is there.

We were very thankful to the Lord that the journey back only took a day. Since we have returned, I have been in language lessons almost every day. The month of March is Ramadan, which is when Muslims fast during the day and seek God for forgiveness. This also mean that less happens during the day this month, so no teams are coming. Which works great for me to focus on language.

Thank you again to everyone that is praying for the work that is going on in West Africa. Please be in prayer for Muslims during Ramadan. This is a time when they are really seeking God. Pray that Jesus would reveal Himself to them and they would know that He is the Son of God. Pray that the Lord would give them dreams and visions of Jesus and the truth. Also pray for opportunities for me to share. The shop keeper by my house is someone I am trying to make time to visit and share with. The lady that sells vegetables is also someone I want to visit. I would also appreciate prayer for language learning as I am eager to make conversations beyond a simple greeting. Please pray that I will memorize the vocabulary fast and understand the grammar. Thank you all so much, to God be the Glory.
