Wow! My first month has flown by! There has been so much going on. Praise God for how He is working in West Africa. People are hearing the Word of God and the truth of who Jesus is. Thank you to everyone that has been praying for the work that has been going on here.

Some of the photos shared had to be blurred. This was done to protect the believers in West Africa.
A little over a week ago was the official dedication of The Hope film. It took a team of believers three years to translate and finish it. They faced many challenges in making the film, however, the Lord walked with them every step of the way. There is no telling how many people will hear the Gospel because of their work. Praise God!

After the hope film dedication, there was a four-day core theology church training. Three pastors from the US came and taught the nine principles of a healthy church.

After one of the training sessions, a group went down to the river and 10 people where baptized! Praise God! I am unable to share photos due to the persecution of the church. Be in prayer as they walk with the Lord.

The persecution of Christians in West Africa is real. If someone chooses to follow Jesus they might lose their home. They could be cast out and cut off from their families. There is risk of job loss, physical harm and worse. Yet the church is growing, and the Gospel is reaching people that have never heard it before.

At the end of the training everyone that participated was given certificates of completion. There were people at the training from four different West African countries.

I had the opportunity to visit our largest Bethlehem Christian Academy (BCA) school with 750 students. The students are learning about who Jesus really is. For most, this is their only exposure to the Gospel.

Please be in prayer for the believers in West Africa. Pray that they would know that the Lord is with them in the midst of the persecution they are facing. Pray that their zeal and boldness to share the Gospel would not diminish because of persecution and fear.
I have been very encouraged by witnessing such dedication to Jesus. The believers in West Africa show great love for the Lord and people.
